Title: An overview of high-rate MDS codes for distributed storage systems
Abstract: Distributed storage systems built on a large number of unreliable storage nodes have important applications in large-scale data center settings, where redundancy should be introduced in such systems to prevent node failures. A normal way to introduce redundancy is to employ erasure codes such as MDS (Maximum Distance Separable) codes. In this talk, I will present an overview of high-rate MSR codes as well as the recent results and some open problems.
報告人簡介: 李杰,湖北大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計學(xué)學(xué)院博士后。主要研究方向為分布式存儲系統(tǒng)、序列設(shè)計、編碼理論等。2017年獲kaiyun開云官方網(wǎng)站信息安全博士學(xué)位,博士期間在美國田納西大學(xué)聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)一年。目前主持國家自然科學(xué)基金青年科學(xué)基金一項、中國博士后科學(xué)基金一項。已在IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory, IEEE Trans. Commun., IEEE Commun. Lett. 等高水平期刊上發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文10余篇。相關(guān)研究成果獲2017 IEEE Jack Keil Wolf ISIT Student Paper Award和2016 IEEE Chengdu Section Excellent Student Paper Award.
