題目:Empirical Likelihood-based Confidence Intervals for Mean Medical Cost with Censored Data;

摘要:In this paper we propose empirical likelihood methods based on influence function and jackknife techniques for constructing confidence intervals for mean medical cost with censored data. We conduct a simulation study to compare the coverage probabilities and interval lengths of our proposed confidence intervals with that of the existing normal approximation-based confidence intervals and bootstrap confidence intervals. The proposed methods have better finite-sample performances than existing methods. Finally, we illustrate our proposed methods with a relevant example.
報告人簡介:秦更生,美國佐治亞州立大學(xué)(Georgia State University)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計系教授。他是美國統(tǒng)計學(xué)會、數(shù)理統(tǒng)計學(xué)會、加拿大統(tǒng)計學(xué)會等學(xué)會會員,曾任《Statistics & Probability Letters》副主編,目前擔任統(tǒng)計學(xué)雜志《Open Journal of Statistics》、《Statistics Research Letters》、《Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine》等期刊編委。主要研究方向為生物統(tǒng)計和數(shù)理統(tǒng)計,其中包括生存分析、時間序列、經(jīng)驗似然方法等,發(fā)表論文60余篇,取得了多項創(chuàng)新性成果發(fā)表在《Bernoulli 》、《Biometrics 》、《The Canadian Journal of Statistics》在內(nèi)的多個世界一流統(tǒng)計學(xué)期刊上。
