A short review of some results of iteration theory, mainly concerning iterative roots, published in last decade (but also sooner) is given. This is apersonal choice of developments made by Marek Cezary Zdun, Zbigniew Le?niak and Pawe? Solarz from Cracow, Poland, and by my Chinese colleaguesWeinian Zhang, Wenmeng Zhang, Liu Liu, Yongguo Shi, Lin Li and Yingying Zeng. A part of them has been obtained jointly with Justyna Jarczykand me.

Witold Jarczyk教授，1983獲得西里西亞大學(xué)博士學(xué)位，現(xiàn)于波蘭Zielona Góra大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)、計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)與經(jīng)濟(jì)計(jì)量學(xué)學(xué)院工作。他是迭代理論與動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)領(lǐng)域國際知名專家，是波蘭Kuczma學(xué)派的活躍人物，在迭代根、迭代方程、凸分析等方面做出了非常有影響的工作，在等國際重要刊物發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文59篇。1993年8月他在德布勒森市獲得了第31屆函數(shù)方程國際會(huì)議(ISFE)杰出貢獻(xiàn)獎(jiǎng)。此外，他還是歐洲迭代理論系列會(huì)議科學(xué)委員會(huì)成員，差分方程和應(yīng)用雜志的特刊客座編輯，第40屆國際函數(shù)方程研討會(huì)（Gronow,2002年）組織委員會(huì)主席，第20屆歐洲迭代理論會(huì)議（?agow,2014年）組織委員會(huì)主席。
