主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

Professor Daniel Yeung (Ph.D and Fellow of IEEE) is currently a visiting Professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, China. He is the Senior Past President of the IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics (SMC) Society, a Fellow of the IEEE and an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Case Western Reserve University, USA. His current research interests include neural-network sensitivity analysis, data mining, Chinese computing, and fuzzy systems. He has over 300 research papers in journals and conferences.

He is very active in the IEEE services which include membership in the Technical Activity Board, the Publication Service and Product Board, the Member and Geographic Activity Board, the Technical Activity Board Nominations and Appointment Committee, the IEEE Ethics and Member Conduct Committee, the Chair of SMC Committees which include the SMC Fellow Committee, the SMC Awards Committee and the SMC Nomination Committee. He was the Chairman of IEEE Hong Kong Computer Chapter (91 and 92), an associate editor for both IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and IEEE Transactions on SMC (Part B), and for the International Journal on Wavelet and Multiresolution Processing.
